A consistent supporter of Conquer Cancer With A Quarter for the past 12 years, this year Reilly Wolfson pledged to match donations up to $7,500 in honor of the firm’s 75th Anniversary. In addition to the pledge, the firm’s attorneys and staff provided financial and volunteer support.  Hosted by the American Cancer Society and Lebanon Broadcasting, the event which occurred the week of August 3, 2015 at the Lebanon Valley Mall  raised $40,553.

Throughout its 33 year history Conquer Cancer With A Quarter has helped to fund cancer research, treatment and early detection. Examples of recent progress include the development of new targeted therapies for cancer that include harnessing the power of the body’s immune system to fight the disease, better imaging tests to detect cancer early, and the therapeutic application of radiation to avoid surgery.

“I am so happy with this year’s event for so many reasons,” said Carol Checket, event organizer.  “Our speakers were incredible as was the community support and the commitment from Reilly, Wolfson.  This truly is a Conquer Cancer With A Quarter campaign I will remember for many years to come,” she added.

“Since 1940 Reilly Wolfson has been an integral part of the Lebanon Valley community and it was an honor to support this event whose mission is to improve life with cancer and advance a cure for a disease that impacts all of us in some way,” said Frederick Wolfson, a partner with the firm.
